Should you call out to the person nearby and ask for help?  Or should you lie down, spread your weight out and crawl through the mud?</p><p>You cannot decide and so you do nothing.</p><p>There is a key to getting unstuck and that is to understand that any action is better than no action at all.</p><p>Forward motion is critical, otherwise you will stay in the mud.</p><p>Go for a run. Commit to trying something different for a month. Call a friend. Ask for help. Get out of the office and work from a local cafe. Anything is always better than nothing when you are stuck in the mud.</p><p>For our paid subscribers, I&#8217;ve laid out a sketch from my iPad below that highlights the importance of forward motion.</p>
