I’m staring at my clothes through the glass at the laundromat, watching them go round and round and round.
I reckon life feels just like that for some very successful people.
Everyone’s watching you through the glass, as you hustle and grind your way to success.
There’s no freedom in the washtub though, you go wherever that bastard spins you.
Backward and forwards, round and round…
It makes this pirate think of the ocean…
Of the wide open sea…
Of the wind in my hair and my hand on the helm taking my boat wherever I choose.
Of an infinite horizon, with new sunrises and sunsets every day.
It’s true that right now, looking through the glass at this laundromat just unlocked something in me.
In an instant I’ve got real clear on exactly who I want at the center of our Modern Day Pirates community….
It is for the brave soul who desires wealth (treasure) but who refuses to sell their freedom anymore to get it.
It’s for the successful person who wants to get off the hamster wheel and sail with the wind across the open sea.
It’s for the person who doesn’t want to be defined by their occupation, but instead longs to be known simply for the difference they make in someone else’s life.
